Why Use Social Media?

Having a website is important to establish your credibility and bring in new clients, we’ve mentioned that before.

But that’s not the only way that your clients can interact with you online.

There’s also social media. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram… like it or not, social media is here to stay and it has changed the way that we all interact with businesses.

If you’re on any of these platforms, you’ve seen it.

Negative reviews that draw a reaction from a brand.

Positive reviews that result in a follow or freebies from that brand!

It’s not just about a presence anymore. It’s about interaction and engaging with your followers.

As social media has evolved, people have come to associate the interactions that happen there as a more personal level of communication.

For some of your clients, when you sold them their plan, it was a purely transactional experience.

That’s just how they view insurance.

But when you connect with them on social media, clients see that you’re also a person. Showing that side of yourself can help strengthen that client/agent relationship.

And because interactions on social media are visible to the public, every like, comment, and reply affects your reputation.

That’s a lot of opportunity to show your potential benefit to a client.
