Aetna is one of the largest health insurance carriers, offering not only MA plans, but also Medicare Supplements (Med Supps) and Part D prescription drug plans (PDPs). Many of your clients will have heard of this carrier and may have even had other types of insurance through this carrier before. The sense of trust that often comes with brand-name products, such as Aetna’s, continues to make their plans great picks for your portfolio.
Something new is available from Aetna for 2025 – their first-ever C-SNP product options! The introduction of this plan type is coming to the Pittsburg, Philadelphia, and Chicago markets. Aetna is also keeping an abundance of $0-premium traditional MA plans that can feature a tier 1 Recalibrated Extra Benefits Card, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, OTC allowance, and SilverSneakers® fitness benefit. For MA-only plans, they are expanding their offerings 600 counties and three additional states – RI, MD, and DC. 2024 was AmeriHealth’s MA debut to the New Jersey market, and they’re coming back strong for 2025. Many won’t find an MA carrier as devoted to them as Devoted Health. This carrier features an easy certification process, so there’s no hurdle preventing agents from selling their plans. For the 2024 AEP, Devoted Health ranked third nationally on absolute number of net new MA members added, following only Aetna and Humana.* Their Medicare portfolio boasts MA PPO and HMO plans, D-SNPs, and C-SNPs, varying by market.
In 2025, Devoted Health is offering plans in 20 states — seven new and 13 existing. Be sure to check out this carrier’s improved dental offerings on select plans and service areas for 2025 that will allow members to access to out of network dentists by changing HMO plans to HMO-POS plans. Additionally, the reach of 2025 Everyday Options Allowances (EOA) is expanding to better meet the specific needs of dual eligibles and improve member health outcomes.

As the largest health insurer in the Philadelphia area, Independence Blue Cross currently offers robust MA plan options in the five counties of Southeastern PA. This carrier is affiliated with more than 49,000 providers and 180 hospitals, and their MA plans include supplemental benefits!
New selling options are on the horizon with this carrier for the upcoming AEP with the premier of an additional HMO-POS plan and a PPO plan! Also new for 2025, specialist copays will be as low as $0 per visit and copays will be $0 for tier 1 and tier 2 generic drugs at a preferred pharmacy or through mail order. Additionally, dental allowances up to $3,000 per year will now also cover implants. Members will have access to One Pass fitness benefits on all MA plans, the Visitor/Traveler program on PPO plans, and a $300 annual allowance for medical, dental, vision, hearing, or supplies on select plans.

Don’t miss this one: UnitedHealthcare is the largest Medicare insurer in the country and the only one with an AARP name. Your clients will almost certainly have heard this name.
This carrier offers MA plans, Med Supp plans, PDPs, D-SNPs, and more. Not only have they offered a long list of benefits, but they’ve also paid lifetime commissions on most MAPD plans. Their MA network has been the largest MA national network. And, UnitedHealthcare’s drug coverage has been more comprehensive than many stand-alone Part D plans!
Four new plans are hitting the market from UnitedHealthcare in 2025 in addition to the expansion of their D-SNP and C-SNP. Now, 70 percent of dual eligibles will have access to one of this carrier’s SNP plans. There are also many $0 features that include premiums, copays, tier 1 drugs, and more. There will also be exciting PDP selling potential from UnitedHealthcare with two AARP Medicare RX plans and all are fully commissionable!
