2026 Medicare Part A & B Premiums & Deductibles

On November 14, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the Medicare Part A and Part B 2026 premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts!

In general, the Part A and Part B premiums and deductibles are increasing. Projected price changes and assumed use increases are likely the cause.

Part B 2026 Costs

For 2026, the monthly Medicare Part B premium will be $202.90. The annual deductible for Medicare Part B will be $283.

Part A 2026 Costs

Medicare Part A is premium-free for more than 99 percent of beneficiaries. These individuals, or their spouse, have at least 40 quarters of Medicare-covered employment.

Beneficiaries who have paid Medicare taxes for at least 30 quarters, or were married to someone with at least 30 quarters of coverage, will pay a Part A premium of $311 per month in 2026.

People who have paid Medicare taxes for fewer than 30 quarters will pay a Part A premium of $565 per month in 2026.

The Medicare Part A inpatient hospital deductible that beneficiaries will pay when admitted to the hospital for 2026 will be $1,736.
