When getting ready-to-sell for the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), we know that it can be overwhelming and time-consuming to stay on top of all the trainings’ deadlines, access links, and Medicare certification requirements — especially if you sell multiple carriers’ products. So, we developed a solution to centralize your search for details: The Ritter Certification Center!
Note: You must register with RitterIM.com for free (or log in if you’ve already registered) to access all Medicare certification details for specific carriers.
What Are the Basic Medicare Certification Training Requirements?
In order to be ready-to-sell for AEP, you must complete annual Medicare and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training and product training for each Medicare Advantage (MA) and prescription drug plan (PDP) carrier you’d like in your portfolio for the upcoming plan year. Depending on the carrier, they may have their own Medicare and FWA training that meets the requirements of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services or accept other organizations’ trainings, such as AHIP certification or NABIP MA certification. Check out our compilation of FAQs about AHIP Medicare certification and FAQs about NABIP Medicare certification for additional information on these trainings.
Keeping Track of Your Carriers’ 2023 MA & PDP Certification Details
Our goal is to give agents all of their Medicare certification details in an easy-to-navigate format, so you can spend less time searching for details and more time doing what you love — selling insurance! Here are our solutions.
Your Medicare Certification Weekly Roundup
New this year, we’re giving you weekly updates on the 2023 MA and PDP carrier certifications that are available to you. We’ll be updating our blog post on this topic on every Friday through September.
Specifically, you can see a list of the 2023 MA and Part D certifications that opened over the past seven days and a list of the certifications that are expected to go live over the next seven days. We also provide the status of carriers’ Medicare training program in an easy-to-read table.
The Ritter Certification Center
When you visit our Certification Center, you can easily locate your Medicare carriers’ certification dates, requirements, and links with a few clicks. Right from the start, you’ll see if a carrier’s certification training is live, or the date it will go live, as well as whether they accept/require AHIP, NABIP, and/or Miramar certifications. If you’d like more in-depth training info, simply click on the carrier’s name. From there, you can see additional details like if the carrier reimburses some of the AHIP certification cost, whether you must complete face-to-face training, if certifying for 2023 will allow you to sell 2022 products, who you can contact at a carrier to confirm that you’re certified, and more!
You can find out if certifying for 2023 will allow you to sell 2022 products and who you can contact at a carrier to confirm that you’re certified.
