Aetna

2008 - Certification for HMO, PPO, PPFS, Special Needs and PDP will be conducted online. This is currently available. The web address is www.aetnalcx.com. For screen shots of the registration process click here.

Step One: Register with the Aetna Learning Center.

  • If you are currently appointed with Aetna Medicare, click on the website above, and then click on register now. Enter your name/address information. In the box called "Certification Criteria" you will put "Re-Certify". In the Organization Code Box you will put midri0997. In the Site Key Code you will put aetna in the first box and 111 in the second box. Then click submit form.
  • If you are not currently appointed with Aetna Medicare, you must first complete the appointment paperwork. For appointment paperwork, click here. Then click on the website above, and then click on register now. Enter your name/address information. In the box called "Certification Criteria" you will put "Certify". In the Organization Code Box you will put midri0997. In the Site Key Code you will put aetna in the first box and 111 in the second box. Then click submit form.

Step Two: Complete Required Courses. For more information on how to use the Aetna Learning Center, you can view our Webex presentation. Click here to view the Webex.

  • If you are re-certifying, you will complete the following Required Training Coursework. The courses include:
    • RM- Aetna Medicare Marketing Standards of Conduct Acknowledgement
    • RM- How Aetna Retiree Markets Works (13097)
  • If you are certifying for the first time, you will complete the following Required Training Coursework. The courses include:
    • RM- 2007 Medicare Overview (12962) (includes assessment)
    • RM- How Aetna Retiree Markets Works (13097)
    • RM- Aetna Medicare Marketing Standards of Conduct Acknowledgment

Step Three: Completion of Certification Process

  • Now that you have completed the required training courses you will need to fax a copy of the Medicare Marketing Standards of Conduct to fax number(s) 888-539-7601 or 281-637-3568. Click here for a copy of the form.

 

Conseco

As an appointed agent of Conseco, you have the option of writing the Coventry Part D product.

You must submit your Coventry Part D business to Conseco in order to be paid by Conseco - NO EXCEPTIONS!!

To be certified, please follow the following steps:
1. Review the certification materials. Click here for the manual.
2. Print, complete, sign and fax the acknowledgement form to 317-817-2303. Click here for the acknowledgement form.

 

Coventry

Effective immediately to be certified to sell Advantra Freedom plans, you must complete the online training activity, attestation, contract and be appointed before you can sell Coventry products. You will have the opportunity to test up to three (3) times in order to attain certification. If you fail to certify after 3 attempts will be placed on suspension for up to 12 months. No appeals will be allowed!

If you are certifying for Private Fee for Service and Stand Alone Part D with Coventry (Advantra Freedom and Advantra RX), click HERE: Then click on the RED "Login/Register" button on the upper left portion of the page.

If you sold Coventry products in 2007, enter your e-mail address and password (on the left side) to log in to the broker portal. You will need to pass two tests to re-certify for 2008 with a passing score of 80%. The first test is 44 questions and the second test is 17 questions.

If you are a new broker for Coventry, you will enter your e-mail address on the Right Side. Under your e-mail address, you will enter the following access code to register for PFFS and Part D only: in the left box put PFFS and in the right box put BJLQ9. You will need to pass two tests to certify for 2008 with a passing score of 80%. The first test is 44 questions and the second test is 17 questions.

If you are certifying for HMO/PPO products with Coventry (Advantra), click HERE(in order to sell HMO/PPO products, you will also be required to pass the tests for PFFS and Part D, anyway): Then click on the RED "Login/Register" button on the upper left portion of the page.

For those interested in certifying to sell the Coventry MSA product, when you are logged into the main page of the broker portal, page down until you see the following line: "To become certified in a new product, please enter the appropriate code:"

You will put MSA in as the product and the product code is CNQH9.

Geisinger Gold

To certify for Geisinger, you will need to complete all materials (Market conduct, Part D Acknowledgement, Medicare Advantage Acknowledgement, CMS Regulations test and Product test). All of these materials are available with the appointment paperwok.

Humana

Humana has closed their training and certification school for the 2008 selling season. If you have not already certified you will have to wait until next year.

Unison

Certification for the Unison HMO and Special Needs products is done through their online portal. For instructions on how to use their web-based certifcation click here.

After you have registered, you will receive your username and password on the Log In page. This information will also be emailed to you from Support@brainshark.com to the email address used during registration. Do not delete this email - Keep this email for your records.

This training consists of three modules, each with an exam and then a final exam that encompasses all three modules. You must complete all three training modules, and complete the module exams and final exam with passing scores of 80% for Module 1, 75% for Module 2, 75% Module 3, and 80% for the Final Exam.

You must complete the training modules and receive a passing score on the final exam to begin to market and sell Unison Advantage.

United Health Care (Secure Horizons and Evercare)

For 2008 certification, go to www.unitedhealthadvisors.com. Enter your agent number as the "User Name" and your Zip Code as the "Password".

you have two opportunities to pass online with a score of 80%. If you are not successful, you will be required to attend an in-person proctored, module and test.

Here are a few tips to make the certification process as smooth as possible:

  1. If the log-in page doesn't come up initially, try hitting "refresh" in your web browser.
  2. There are 4 courses and 1 compliance pledge to complete:
    • CMS Sales and Marketing Overview
    • Compliance Pledge
    • EverCare SNP
    • Medicare Complete (MA-PD)
    • Secure Horizons Medicare Direct (PFFS)
  3. You must click on the "Required Training" button to get the courses to display.
  4. Once you advance to the next screen you must click on the "Take Course" button. This will open a Pop-Up window. If you have a Pop-Up Blocker, Control-Click on the "Take Course" button.
  5. Some of the questions require an "All that apply" answer, these questions are denoted by square answer blocks, as opposed to the circle answer blocks for the multiple choice questions.
  6. Once you begin the exam, you cannot go back to review prior screens, so be prepared before you begin the exam.
